The Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program is operated by CIC, also known as Citizenship and Immigration Canada. This program supports the economic growth of the province of Alberta, and is geared towards the needs of individual provinces. There are three types of the PNP Program offered by Alberta. The first one is called the Strategic Recruitment Stream. These are for those who have work experience as trade professionals, engineers, or post graduates and involve categories such as the compulsory and optional trades category, engineer compulsory category, and the post graduate worker category. The second program is called the Employer Driven Stream. These are for those who received an offer of employment, either permanent or full time employment, from an eligible employer in Alberta. The categories under this program are: skilled worker category, international graduate category, and semi-skilled worker category. The third program that is offered by Alberta is a self-employed farmer stream. Once you have successfully received nomination, you can use it to apply for permanent residence.
