My thanks to you and your team, Shabnam. My wife and I have just entered Canada and received our documents. I am now a Federal Skilled Worker ;) We couldn’t have done this without you.

Faizal R.

Thank you for reuniting me with my wife, I thought this day would never come. I do not know why Canada gave us such a hard time, wish I came to you first. Now she has her PR and we can resume our normal lives together. You have made our dreams come true. I am just so glad she is out of her country and safe with me and we have you to thank. We are extremely grateful.

Raj T.

Hello Shabnam, I just wanted to thank you on behalf of my mother. We received her Supervisa in the mail and are very excited to have her join us and meet her grandson for the first time. Welcome to our YouTube video on study permit applications in Canada. If you're unsure about when to apply for a study permit or visitor visa, this video is for you. For stays under six months, apply for a visitor visa, but check processing times. Study permit processing times are usually 3-4 months, while visitor visa processing times can take up to a year. So, if study permit processing is faster, it may be a better option even for a short stay. You can apply for a study permit anytime with an acceptance letter from a designated learning institute in Canada, even for a few months of study. Double-check processing times and choose between study permit or visitor visa based on which is faster.

For study durations over six months, you must apply for a study permit. Similar to a visitor visa, but with an acceptance letter from a school as an invitation letter. You need to demonstrate why you chose to study in Canada and why you can't pursue the same education in your home country or another country. This is called a study plan and should explain the importance of your chosen program and how it connects to your future plans in your home country. Note that a study permit is temporary, and your intent must be temporary at the time of application. You must show financial means to support yourself during your studies for the next 12 months. Financial support can come from parents or other sources, and evidence should be provided.

From Nov 15th to Dec 31st, 2023, there's a change in study permit regulations allowing full-time work for all students in Canada, a significant change from the previous part-time limit of 20 hours per week. This is valuable for Express Entry or permanent residency applications. We hope this video provided valuable information on study permit applications in Canada. Feel free to reach out for further questions or assistance with your application. Don't forget to subscribe for more helpful content. Thank you for watching!
