Wondering if you need an Authorization to Return to Canada? Depending on what type of Removal Order you have received determines what you have to apply for. These three types of Removal Order include:
If you have been issued a Deportation Order then for your future travels dates to Canada, you need to apply for Authorization to Return to Canada (ARC). If you received an Exclusion Order and you have waited 12 months since you had left Canada and you have the Certificate of Departure showing the date you left Canada then you do not need an ARC application. If you are planning to come earlier than 12 months to Canada then you need an ARC. If you received a Departure Order you receive a letter from Citizenship and Immigration Canada that explains you have to exit Canada, usually 30 days. If you comply then you do not need to apply for an ARC application in the future. So when you exit ensure that the Canadian border has all your information that you exited and get a stamp on your passport on landing country. If you did not comply and leave within that time frame then your Departure Order turns automatically into a Deportation Order. So make sure to leave on time and when you are ready to come back you simply go through normal examination at the port of entry.
