Canadian Experience Class CEC Video

Canadian Experience Class CEC

To be eligible for the Canadian Experience Class we have to demonstrate that you have been working in Canada for a minimum of 1 year under NOC A, B or O. O is for Managerial Experience, B is for Technical Trade and A is for Professional. So under the Employer Stream whether it is Arranged Employment Canadian Experience Class or whatever other class you may apply under it is very important that the employment reference letter or the contract that is given to you outlines in detail your Job Description. The job description should match the NOC and this will essentially make you eligible for this category.

The Canadian Experience Class also offers what’s called a Bridging Open Work Permit. What this really is you are currently in Canada working and your Work Permit is close to its expiring date and you have not yet received an approval on your PR card and unsure what you should do. The option available to you would be to apply for the Bridging Open Work Permit. To be eligible for the Bridging Open Work Permit, you have to demonstrate that your current Work Permit is valid for at least 4 months and that you have applied for the PR card but have not received the Approved Principal Letter from the immigration officer yet.

The Bridging Open Work Permit is quite a straight forward application because it is bridging your Canadian Experience Class application with your current Work Permit application.
