Express Entry for Canadian Experience Class CEC

Are you foreign worker and have obtained Canadian work experience and like to apply for Permanent Residency, if so, you may be eligible to apply under the Canadian Experience Class (CEC). To be considered under the Canadian Experience Class you have to apply under the Express Entry Route. Once you have submitted your online profile the highest ranking candidates are selected from the Express Entry Pool and are given an Invitation to Apply for Permanent Residence. Before applying you have to ensure you meet the minimum requirements, have skilled work experience and meet the language requirements.

The minimum requirements include not being inadmissible to Canada, have minimum of 1 year full-time experience or part-work experience in Canada in the past three years, lived outside of Quebec and meet the required language requirements.

The skilled work experience includes having Canadian skilled work experience three years prior to applying. To be considered a skilled worker you need to fall under the National Occupation Code (NOC) such as managerial, professional, skilled or technical jobs. To meet the minimum requirement you have to have worked 12 months full about 30 hours of paid work per week or part-time work that leads to the same amount of hours. When submitting your application you have to ensure your job duties reflect with the NOC and demonstrate this on your application.

Finally, meeting the language requirement is another important factor. To meet the requirement you will be tested on English or French in areas such as reading, writing, listening and speaking. To show you meet the requirements you must show your test result which cannot be older than two years since the day you apply for permanent residency. If it is older than two years you have re-take the test and meet minimum Canadian Language Benchmark.
