As a US citizen, you can travel to Canada without a Temporary Resident Visa (TRV). However, to legally work in Canada, you essentially require a work permit. However, things are much easier if you are a US national. Thanks to the NAFTA agreement, certain professions can easily acquire a work permit. To qualify for a work permit under the NAFTA agreement, you must:
