So if you are convicted of an offence with max term of imprisonment then you have to wait ten years prior to applying for Criminal Rehabilitation. If you have only one offence you may eligible to apply for Criminal Rehabilitation after the five year term and again this depends on the severity of the offence. Usually, you are considered Deemed Rehabilitation after 10 years of completed your sentence.
The Criminal Rehabilitation application can only filed at the consulate and which take approximately 8-12 months for processing, once you receive a positive decision on your application then you can travel with ease to Canada as long as you do not re-offend.
