Is it necessary to advise Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) of my sex change

It is necessary to advise IRCC of your sex change only in certain circumstances. For instance, if you are a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident of Canada, you do not need to notify IRCC of your sex change. For Canadian citizens, it is advisable to make sure that all of your government documents reflect this information. For permanent residents, if you have changed your sex, it can possibly result in delays if you travel. Specifically, if you intend on travelling by air in the future, it is very important that your permanent resident card and passport reflects your sex change; they must match. Furthermore, for temporary residents of Canada, such as visitors, students and workers, you must inform IRCC of your sex change. If any information has changed, specifically your sex changes, and it does not reflect on your permit or visa, then you must apply for a new one. Keep in mind, the sex on your visa or permit must match the sex on your foreign passport.

Visit Canada on Business

The Canadian market presents unique opportunities in the modern business world. As such, many modern businessmen have clients and connections in Canada, and their business would benefit from individuals having the opportunity to meet with Canadian clients, attend meetings and conferences in Canada, and …. Many would believe, for good reason, that to do this an individual would need a work permit. Though, this is not the case. However, a business visitor is permitted to engage in international business activities. As mentioned, this could be things such as meeting people from other partnering companies to do business within Canada through the partnership, observing site visits, or, visiting because a Canadian company invited them for training, or to perhaps hold a conference in product use, sales and other business transaction functions. FAQ’s about being a Business Visitor

Some individuals who travel for business are highly privileged insofar as they do not have to apply for a work permit, or a special visitor visa, to come to Canada to participate in particular business activities. Most individuals who come to Canada to actually work need a work permit. The major difference between a business visitor and an individual who enters Canada to actually work, is that the individual in Canada who “working” is making a salary from a Canadian company and participating in activities which are more than business meetings, research, and some other specified activities which business visitors are permitted to partake in without a work permit. A business visitor on the other hand is one who does not directly work for a Canadian company, but rather is a foreign national who visits Canada to undertake the activities which are related to the international business. So, how does one ensure they are permitted to come to Canada to participate in activities which are work-related, without applying for a work permit first? It requires having a good understanding of what a business visitor is, and the rules regarding business visitors. Therefore, this article will address some common misunderstandings surrounding business visitors.

Considering the unique circumstances that initially prevented her, I had lost hope. I will make sure that if anyone I know needs immigration help, I will be sending them your way. Again, I can’t thank you enough.
