Express Entry is a very new way to permanent residence in Canada. The complete name of this is Express Entry to manage applications for permanent residence under certain economic programs. If you do not already have a job offer that is supported by the Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA), or a nomination from a province or territory, you will have to register with Employment and Social Development Canada’s Job Bank. This is one way that you will be able to connect with eligible employers. You must not only rely on this, you must pursue a search for an eligible employer on your own as well. Also, you will only be able to stay in the pool for up to one year. If you do not receive an invitation to apply for permanent residence within that 12 month period, you will be taken out of the pool. You can submit a new profile and try again if you still meet the criteria. This is to ensure quick processing times by preventing backlogs.
