Extend Work Permit For Live-in Caregiver Program

If you are currently working under live-in caregiver program in Canada and your work permit is about to expire, you can apply to extend your work permit. It will allow you to work in Canada while your application is in process. Please ensure you submit the new Work Permit application before your current work permit expires. You have to apply for extension at least 30 days prior to the expiry date of your work permit. There are four steps to extend your work permit:

  • We will provide you with a detailed list of documents
  • We will review your documents and make any amendments necessary to ensure you have a strong application
  • We will draft your forms and also include a detailed submission for the officer
  • We will submit the application and follow up regularly

If your work permit has expired and you have not submitted your application before the expiry date, we can still apply for new work permit within 90 days of the expiry date to regain your status in Canada by Extend Work Permit For Live-in Caregiver Program. You may also need to submit a copy of Labour Market Impact Assessment (LIMA). Your prospective employer has to get a LIMA from the Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC) before he or she hires you.

If you have further questions about how you we can extend your work permit under the live-in program, contact us today! We will be happy to provide you corresponding information about how we can assist you in this matter.
