What is the Express Entry ?

From January 1, 2015, Citizenship and Immigration Canada launched a new Permanent Resident program to handle the huge number of existing economic immigration programs (Federal Skilled Worker Program, Federal Skilled Trades Program, Canadian Experience Class) applications, is called Express Entry.

In order to comply with the local labour market requirements, all the provinces and territories will also be choosing candidates under the Express Entry program.

Language Testing and Educational Credential Assessment (ECAs)

How does Express Entry use the information from language tests or an Education Credential Assessment (ECA)?

The information which provided by candidate about himself or herself for the Express Entry profile can be uses in a different ways to assess a candidate. Educational Credential and Assessment (ECA) also check your provide information to see whether you are qualify to get into the Express Entry pool or not. The candidates information can also be used to score them through the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) based on her/his language ability and education. If candidate studied outside the Canada the he or she needs to evaluate his educational credential through ECA which is organized by Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC).

Do I need to get an Education Credential Assessment (ECA)?

Yes, if candidates studied outside the Canada, the candidates need to get done his/her Education Credential Assessment for Express Entry if they want themselves to be choosing as a Federal Skilled Worker Program. If candidates obtained education from Canada, then they do not educational Credential Assessment.

How To Apply For Express Entry

How To Apply For Express Entry

If you are interested to come to Canada and want to stay here permanently then you can apply under Express Entry. Express entry provides you permanent residence. It is quicker and easier way to apply. Express Entry is a two-step process.

Step 1: Complete An Online Express Entry Profile

First, potential candidates need to complete an online Express Entry profile. You have to fill the required forms that will provide the information about your skills, work experience, language ability, education, and any other required details which will be helpful to assess you under the Express Entry. The information you have provided in the application form must meet the requirement of one of the federal immigration programs (Federal Skilled Worker Program, Federal Skilled Trades Program, or Canadian Experience Class) then you will be placed in the pool of candidates and you are ranked according to Comprehensive Ranking System. If you do not have valid job letter from Canadian employer or a provincial nomination, you must register with Canada’s job bank and they will help you with it.
