Are you a Live in Caregiver and your Work Permit is close to expiring and have not find employment yet? If so, you may eligible for Bridge Extension, this is a short-term Temporary Work Permit for Live in Caregiver that are in between jobs or have not found a suitable employer yet. The Bridge Extensions are usually granted for period of two months. When applying for the extension as the applicant you must ensure you clearly indicate on the form you are specifically applying for a Bridge Extension. The application can be submitted at any time and allows you to remain in Canada legally up to the period granted. The Bridge Extension does not authorize you to work for a new employer.
