Visitor Visa Requirements:

If you are interested to visit Canada, you need a Visitor Visa or Temporary Resident Visa. You cannot enter Canada if you do not have a visa. In order to obtain a visa you have to be qualifying for that and you have to meet the certain requirements of visitor visa. There are following requirements of Visitor Visa:

  • You have to have a valid travel document, such as your passport;
  • You have to be in good health, if you have certain health conditions that are dangerous for Canadian society then you visa will be refused or denied by immigration officer;
  • You also have to show to the immigration officer that you have ties to your home country such as you have a job, home, financial assets or family members that will take you back to your home country;
  • You have to convince an immigration officer that you will leave Canada at the end of you your visit. For instance, you can show to the immigration officer a return plane ticket. It will show your intention to leave Canada at the end of stay;
  • You also have to show that you have enough money to stay in Canada. The amount of money you will need to stay can vary. It will depends on the circumstance that how long you will stay in Canada, and whether you will stay in a hotel or with friends or relatives;
  • You also have to show that you have no intention to work or study in Canada unless you are authorized to do so;
  • You have to be law abiding and you have no record of criminal activity in past including minor and serious;
  • You have not to be a risk to the security of Canada;

You may also need few more things such as:

  • You may also need a temporary resident (visitor) visa, depending on your citizenship;
  • You may also have to undergo medical examination;
  • You may also need letter of invitation from someone who lives in Canada;

These are few basic requirements of what you need in order to eligible for Canadian Visitor Visa. If you meet the above requirements and apply for visa, you have to satisfy immigration officer that you have the required documents and you meet the visa requirements. Finally, you also need to demonstrate that your intention is to exit Canada at the end of your stay. If you are able to do so, than you will be issued your visitor visa.
