Steps to apply for a Temporary Resident Visa

  • Submit the application

Gather documents:

There are few documents you need for Temporary Resident Visa and here is list of what you might need to compile a strong application:

  • Application forms
  • Valid passport
  • Photos
  • Proof of finances
  • Travel itineraries
  • Proof of medical examination, if required
  • Any additional documents required by the responsible visa officer
  • Proof that your stay in Canada is temporary

Complete the application:

Completing the application means compiling your application in such a way that it accuracy reflects all the requirements you will need to demonstrate. When reviewing your application, the officer needs to be satisfied that you not only meet the requirements but that you will exit Canada at the end of your authorized period od stay.

Pay the fees:

Depending on how you submit your application and whether or not biometrics are needed, the amount and payment method will change. If you are submitting online, you will pay the fees online. If you are submitting through a visa office than you will need to review the acceptable payment formats of that particular office and comply with their methods.

Mail or submit your application:

Once you have completed all your application forms and documents have been prepared to you will need to determine how you will be submitting the application. The application can be submitted online or by paper through a visa office.
