Temporary Residence Visas, also known as TRV’s, authorize you to enter Canada. There are many reasons why people come to Canada; this can be for travelling purposes or to visit family and friends. When coming to Canada, you have to convince the officer that you will not overstay your authorized stay. In other words, you cannot be within Canada for longer than your visa allows you to. There are many reasons why the visa officer may not find that you are here for a short period of time. For instance, if you do not provide enough information, that could convince the officer that you will be here for a short period of time and exit once your visa expires. Therefore, it is recommended to provide as much ties to your home country to prove your intension are only temporarily to Canada. Ties to home country can be demonstrated through providing documents such as investments made back home, property you own, family obligations etc. The more you more the higher your chance of approval. If you fail to satisfy the immigration you application most likely will be refused.
