Temporary Resident Permit TRP and Criminal Rehabilitation Video

Temporary Resident Permit TRP and Criminal Rehabilitation

Have you been Denied Entry into Canada due to an inadmissibility issue in the past? If you have criminal past there is two ways of overcoming your situation either through Temporary Resident Permit (TRP) or Criminal Rehabilitation. The Temporary Resident Permit (TRP) helps accommodate your most urgent travel need in which you can get a same day decision at the Canadian port of entry. The immigration officer outweighs the need versus to risk to determine your eligibility to enter into Canada. TRPs are issued from one day to a maximum of three years and is issued based on your situation. For example, if you are frequent business traveler you may get a TRP that is valid for at least one year versus for someone that is coming for leisure trip and may be issued from one day to more. The immigration officer has the discretion to decide how long they will grant you the permit for or they can simply deny you entry and ask you to submit a criminal rehabilitation application when you are eligible to apply.

On the other hand, the Criminal Rehabilitation is for persons whom like to overcome their inadmissibility issue on permanent basis. Once the Criminal Rehabilitation is approved you can travel with ease to Canada without being stopped at the immigration border as long as you don’t reoffend again. Criminal Rehabilitation take approximately 8-12 months to get processed at the consulate.
