If you are still not sure whether you need a medical exam, you can contact any visa office near you to confirm. If you need to take an exam, the visa officer will tell you what to do and how procedure is.

How Long Are Medical Examinations Valid For?

Your medical results are only valid for 1 year. After 1 year, if you do not come to Canada, you will have to take a new exam. This 12 Months Validity Period starts from the last medical assessment date.

Can My Dependents Undergo The Medical Examination In Another Country?

Yes. You can book your medical examination with designated medical practitioners (DMP). Your dependents can have medical exams wherever there is service of DMP.

Will my Non-Accompanying Dependents be required to complete Medical Examination?

Depends, those who apply for permanent residence must have an immigration medical examination. Not only you, if you have any dependants, they must have a medical examination done even if they are not coming with you.

However, under the circumstances, if you decide not to proceed with your non-accompanying dependents undergo the medical exam, then those non-accompanying dependents will not be able to be sponsored as a member of the Family Sponsorship category at a later date.
