If you are from anywhere else in the world, unfortunately, you would not qualify. The second thing to do in order to qualify under the NAFTA agreement is that your occupation must be listed in the occupation list for NAFTA. For instance, if you were a consultant for a construction company, you may be qualified to apply under the NAFTA agreement. It entirely dependent on your job duties. Therefore, it is best to determine whether your current job duties match with the occupation in the list of occupations for NAFTA; if it does, then you may qualify to apply for the NAFTA work permit.
