Another Opportunity for Parents and Grandparents Video

For Canadian citizens and permanent residents who wish to sponsor their parent or grandparent, they may have another chance at doing so as Immigration Canada has made some changes. This is extremely exciting news for parents and grandparents who have applied for parent or grandparent sponsorship as their chances of coming to Canada have increased. Specifically, for sponsors who have submitted their application online between the dates of January 3 and February 2 of 2017, they have been entered into a pool of candidates to be selected. Furthermore, IRCC declared on April 25 that they have randomly selected 10,000 potential sponsors from a pool of roughly 95,000 individuals to be invited to submit their sponsorship application. Once you have been invited, the sponsors must complete the application within 90 days of receiving the invitation. Furthermore, in this video, it explains in detail how to apply for a parent or grandparent sponsorship. Therefore, if you’d like to know more information, please watch the video in it’s entirety.

If you’d like to sponsor your parents and/or grandparents but are unsure what documents to include with your application or how to get started then please don’t hesitate to contact us at 416-477-2545. Our immigration experts will be glad to assist you with your immigration matter.
