Are you looking at filing a Spousal Sponsorship application? To file a Spousal Sponsorship application, there are certain mandatory documents such as the medical examination, notice of assessment, police clearances etc. Importantly, you will need to add genuineness documents. These documents are crucial for the application and should demonstrate genuineness of your relationship. You can demonstrate this basically by going as far back as possible based on your relationship and include documents all the way from the date you met until the present date or even going forward. This means documents on how you met, where you met, who introduced you, and what is currently happening in your relationship or where you intend to go in the future. To prove these things, you can include reference letters or travel documents. Current documents can be things proving how you reside together or the children you may have together. Future documents can be possibly adopting children or buying a home together, which can be proved by including personal statements by both the spouses. Most of these Spousal Sponsorship applications may take months to get finalized, so do not feel that you have to include everything into that application right away – you can always add documents.
