Filing your own application can be a very lengthy and confusing process. At Akrami & Associates we have dealt with hundreds of applications and at this point, it is second nature to us. Along with an application comes many documents that you are required to attach. In order for your application to be successful, the more documents and proof you have, the better your chances are. When you are filing an Intra Company Transferee Document, there are two documents you have to take into consideration.
The first are the corporate documents. These are documents to prove that the foreign company and that Canadian company are a qualifying relationship. The corporate documents could be tax documents, share registry, they could be practically anything to prove that both companies have some sort of relation to one another. Also include some graphs and charts to prove some hierarchy involved, if there is multiple branches of the company you want to put that into chart form for the officer to say this is the breakdown of the company. Specifically if there is a lot of owners in the company, there is a lot of shares and so forth, you can put down as easily as possible for the officer, so the best recommendation that we can make is for you to include a a clean and easy to read chart that says person “A” has thirty percent of the company and person “B” owns thirty percent of the company etc. You should also include in your application the names of who owns the company, especially if there are a lot of shares. As far as the rules and responsibilities go, you should easily outline everything for the officer.
The second document is that actual applicant documents themselves. In the applicant documents you should include job duties/titles that you will be performing in Canada, how you are different and more unique than everyone else who may apply for the same position, and you should also state the jobs/duties you have been performing outside f Canada until this point. they have include job duties that they have been performing so far, letters, credentials and so forth. So essentially the intra company transferee is divided into two sets of documents that are the employer documents, the corporate documents as well as the applicant documents. So if you have any further questions that we did not answer in this blog/video, specifically regarding what documents you need to provide to the officer, do not hesitate to give us a call, after all we are here to help. Thank you.
