There are a variety of different ways of obtaining permanent residence in Canada. Applying for permanent residence can be a tough and lengthy process. Make sure you choose the right option for you, in order to ensure a positive outcome do not hesitate to contact Akrami & Associates to assist you with your case.

The family and economic class are the popular categories for immigration. The family class application, it enables you to sponsor your loved ones whom are living abroad such as your spouse, common-law or conjugal partner, parents/grandparents or dependent children.

Another way you can obtain permanent residence in Canada is through the economic class. In the economic class there is the Federal Skilled Worker, Federal Skilled Trades and the Canadian experience class applications. In order to be eligible for the federal skilled worker or federal skilled trades, you must ensure that your intended occupation is on the list of eligible occupations. You are required to have a minimum of one year experience in your occupation of choice (one that is on the list) and meet the education requirements. Also, for the federal skilled trades applicants also need to have a job offer valid for 12 months in a trade occupation. The Canadian Experience Class is very unique way of obtaining permanent residence, it is for those who have worked in a skilled profession for at least one year in Canada. This means they are in  Canada or have been in Canada on a work permit in the past five years and have obtained work experience in an occupation that is considered high skill (NOC A, B or O). So if you have one year Canadian experience in a occupation that falls under NOC A, B, or O you may eligible to apply for permanent residence through the Canadian Experience Class.
