Studying in Canada can be very rewarding. Often times, international students that have graduated from a Canadian educational institution would like to obtain a Post-Graduate Work Permit. There is specific eligibility requirements in order to obtain this work permit. Watch our video below on the eligibility requirements for a Post-Graduate Work Permit.
Who is and who is not eligible for a Post-Graduation Work Permit? In this video, we discuss this question. The Post-Graduation work permit is reserved for individuals who have studied in Canada and would now like to work because they have finished their studies. In order to be eligible for a Post-Graduation Work Permit, you must be over the age of 18 years old. This is quite obvious as you must be over the age of 18 in order to attend university. Additionally, you must be studying full-time and not part-time. If you are studying part-time, unfortunately, you would not be eligible for the Post-Graduation Work Permit. Additionally, your schedule at your educational institution should reflect a full-time schedule. The study program must be full-time. Most often, the educational institution will be able to assist you with this. Furthermore, the full-time studies must be at least 8 months to 1 year. It cannot be any less; if so, then you will not be eligible for the Post-Graduation Work Permit. For more information on the Post-Grad Work Permit, please watch our video in its entirety.
