There are some necessary steps one has to make before applying for a study permit in Canada. Yet, there are some foreign nationals that do not require a study permit at all. For instance, if you plan on studying in a short-term course or program that is six months or less, then getting a study permit is not necessary. On the other hand, there are many factors for eligibility for a study permit in Canada. Some of the components that you will require to obtain a study permit are that you must have been accepted by a Designated Learning Institution in Canada, you must prove and demonstrate that you have enough funds to pay for your tuition fees, living expenses for yourself and any of your family members who accompany you, and the return transportation for yourself and any of your family members who accompany you, just to name a few. If you have the aforementioned components then you may be on the right track to obtaining a study permit.
