There are many individuals who would like to proceed with sponsoring their parents to Canada; however, there are only 10,000 applications for the year of 2018. The parental sponsorship is essentially a lottery system. It is a two-stage system. The first stage requires basic information and then you proceed to enter a pool. After this, you must wait to see if you and your parents are selected for the parental sponsorship. If you are selected, CIC will reach out to you and invite you to apply. This would be the second stage of the application process. The parental sponsorship requires application forms, financial evaluation forms, etc. There is also supporting documentary evidence that you must provide to prove that you can financially support your parents to come to Canada. More supporting documents are mentioned within this video, in case you are unsure what to provide. For more information regarding the parental sponsorship, please make sure to watch our video in its entirety.
