Before applying for a work permit in Canada, most of the time you will also need to apply for a Labour Market Impact Assessment. It is essential that you submit the required documentation to successfully apply for the LMIA. Watch our video below on the most important documents you need to submit for your Labour Market Impact Assessment application.

Important Documents for LMIA Video

When you file a Labour Market Impact Assessment, also known as the LMIA, it is very important to submit the appropriate documentation and the documents must be created and compiled in the appropriate way. In this video, Ms. Akrami goes over the documents in detail and why they are important to submit. The documents being submitted for a Labour Market Impact Assessment will result in the arrival of a skilled foreign worker and may allow them to enter Canada through a work permit. Alternatively, quite the opposite can happen and the skilled foreign worker may not be allowed to come to Canada. The ultimate decision is made by Employment and Social Development Canada / Service Canada and they must be satisfied that there are no Canadian citizens or permanent residents available for the intended position. For more information and further explanation on the important documents for LMIA, continue watching this video in its entirety.
