First of all, low wage jobs are C and D NOC’s . For the advertisement component of recruitment you have to post the job to a national or provincial job bank for at least 4 weeks until your LMIA is issued and successful. Two sourses need to be posted an one of them must be targeted towards the minority of society such as women or aboriginal peoples.
An LMIA is a “Labour Market Impact Assessment”. The main thing that an officer is looking for with LMIA applications is fraud. The officers want to ensure that this is a legitimate LMIA application and not just some effort to get someone into the Country so as long as you can prove that your LMIA application is solely for the purposes of working by providing documentation and recruitment efforts (for Canadian citizens and/or permanent residents) you should be set.
