When submitting a Spousal Sponsorship Application there are three sections to the application you need to look at. The first is the sponsor which is essentially demonstrating the sponsor is eligible to sponsor the spouse for example he/she is not on social assistance, Canadian citizen or Permanent Resident, has no inadmissibility issues etc. The second set of documents is the identity documents of the spouse such as birth certificates, passport data page, any documents that can prove the identity of the person. The third set of documents includes anything that demonstrates genuineness such phone logs, FB chats, letters exchanged, gifts, trips taken together, bank accounts, pictures, reference letter etc. The more documents you can provide to show your relationship is genuine the higher your chances.
