The super visa application is essentially a visitor visa geared towards the parents and grandparents of Canadian citizens and permanent residents. The Super visa is a viable solution for those who wish to remain in Canada for an extended period of time. At the discretion of immigration Canada the super visa can be valid for a period of ten years at a time. It will only require renewal every three years throughout the duration of its validity. The super visa takes into account the eligible relationship the citizen or permanent resident has with a loved one aboard who do not qualify to become permanent residents of Canada.

The super visa application is very similar to any other visa applications except for two major factors these factors are financial requirements as well as travel insurance.
