We Can Help You When Applying as a Live-in Caregiver
Akrami & Associates and our team of seasoned legal professionals are here to help you!
We will begin by discussing your matter at length during a consultation. It is here that you will meet face-to-face with one of our immigration practitioners. If a face-to-face meeting is not an option for you, do not worry; we also can accommodate this with a phone consult.
You will have the opportunity to voice all your concerns, discuss the merits of your case and unique situation, as well as ask any questions you may have. Our team of immigration professionals will address your concerns, inform you of the strength and weaknesses of your case and make sure that all your questions have been answered to your satisfaction.
As you will be discussing an application for a live-in caregiver work permit, we will ask you questions like:
- What are your ties to your home country?
- Who is your intended employer?
- Do you have an LMO?
- Do you have a contract?
- What is your work experience?
- What is your educational background?
We ask these questions in an effort to determine the uniqueness of your case as well as allow you the opportunity to disclose pertinent information that perhaps you did not even know was significant. The more information you can provide to use during the initial consult, the better we can determine your best options.
Once we have determined what the next best course of action is and you have retained us as your representative, we will begin immediately by providing you with a list of documents that will be specially geared towards the specific merits of your case. This list of documents will not be the bare minimum requirement as per the CIC document checklist. We will provide you with documents that, based on our experience and success rate, will be greatly beneficial towards strengthening your case.
You can either drop these documents off in person or send them to us by scanned emailed attachment. We work with people across the world and use advances in electronics and the internet to meet your needs. There will be some documents that we will require as original, which you can send to us by mail, but the majority of documents can be provided electronically. We can even Skype with you if you wish.
Once we have the documents required, we will begin the process of completing the application forms. These applications will be drafted for you based on the documents you have provided and additional information we may need you to provide, which we will notify you of as needed.
We will provide you with these forms for your review and signature. Simultaneously, we will be drafting your submissions. A submission letter is essentially an unofficial explanation of your case as well as citing legal references and making legal arguments to the immigration officer making a decision on your case as to why your case should be approved.
Once we submit your application, our support does not end there. We will stay on top of your application even after submission by regularly following up with the visa processing centre as well as acting on your behalf with respect to anything additional that may be required by the immigration officer making a decision.
Akrami & Associates will be with you every step of the way – from start to end.
