Federal Skilled Worker Program Application
Federal Skilled Worker Program Application
A Federal Skilled application still applies today even with the Express Entry Route, but there is a fine difference. With any application for Permanent Residency under the Economic Class you have to first apply under the new system called the Express Entry. The Express Entry goes through a 2-step process. The first step is to upload all your information on an online portal where the government of Canada looks at your application and basically decides amongst a pool of candidates which candidate they want to continue with their PR application. So essentially you will get a letter saying yes congratulation you have been invited to continue your Permanent Residency. In that letter the government of Canada will outline what category they want you to apply whether being the Canadian Experience Class or the Federal Skilled.
Lets assume you get a letter saying the Federal Skilled application, in here you have to ensure that when you get the letter that your occupation falls under NOC A, B, or O. Your main focus should be on the Express Entry Portal and getting the invitation to continue under the federal skilled category. When you get the invitation letter to continue your Permanent Residency the government of Canada has decided that your occupation, your work experience in the last 10 years is something that Canada needs.
So if you are looking at uploading your information under the Express Entry or you’ve been invited to continue the Permanent Residency both these steps are extremely important for you to be granted the final Permanent Residence card.
