PNP FAQs Video

Have you applied for Permanent Residency in Canada under the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP)? If so, it is important to remember that you need to reside in that province you get the nomination for. Watch our video to find out what type documents you should include in your Provincial Nominee application to demonstrate to Citizenship and Immigration Canada that your intentions are genuine to stay in that province.

The Provincial Nominee Programs (PNP) are designed in way that once your application gets approved the applicant will continue to reside in the province they have received their nomination for. So, when you start your application as the applicant you need to demonstrate that your intent is to remain in the province by showing what you have established in the province  such as bank accounts, family, property, anything that ties you to that province. If you do not have anything to show then you can write a letter of why you have chosen that province and what your intension are should your PR approved.

It is recommended to remain in the province you got nominated for until you receive your citizenship. Should you decide to leave the province prior to your citizenship ensure you include why your intensions changed and that your intent was to remain but due to circumstances you needed to leave the province.
