Super Visa Parents and Grandparents Video

Super Visa Parents and Grandparents

On December 1, 2011 Citizenship and Immigration Canada issued the super visa. Essentially this was introduced because the parental and grandparental visa was closed down due to backlog. The super visa was essentially for parents and grandparents who would like to come visit them on temporary basis. The super visa is actually a visa for ten years and the applicant can stay in Canada up to two years and exit the country and re-enter without reapplying for the application. it is different from the visitor visa is issued for six months or less and you have to reapply for a visitor visa.

The super visa is for those who have children and grandchildren who are permanent residents or Canadian citizens who would like to come to Canada extended period of time without constantly reapplying. The super visa is essentially a multiple entry visa so you could enter and exit as they please but can reside in Canada for up to two years consecutively, which a very long time is considering other applications it is far less.

It is also important to mention with the super visa it does not include dependent children for example if you have a sibling and you want your mum or dad to get them the super visa does not allow this, the super visa is strictly for parents and grandparents and that’s it dependent children will have to apply for a visitor visa on their own.
