What is Misrepresentation Video
Any foreign national can have a misrepresentation allegation, whether it be direct or indirect. Direct misrepresentation would be directly misinforming or lying to Immigration. For instance, if you intentionally and knowingly lied to Immigration about your age or name. Indirect misrepresentation indicates that you were unaware or did the misrepresentation unintentionally. Unfortunately, just because you did something that you didn’t know would be considered misrepresentation, this does not mean that Immigration will forgive you because of this. The consequences of misrepresentation, whether direct or indirect, will most definitely affect the applicant of the immigration application. For examples of misrepresentation and scenarios that can lead to misrepresentation are discussed in this video by Ms. Akrami. She goes into detail of what exactly you should do going forward if you have a misrepresentation allegation. For more information about misrepresentation, kindly watch this video in its entirety.
