Live in Caregiver Documents for Permanent Residency
Planning to submit an application for Permanent Residency because you have worked as Live in Caregiver in the past? If so there are two ways of doing so, first way would be to include certain documents to prove you have worked as Live in Caregiver in Canada. These documents include letter from your current employer which states when you have started your employment with them and how long you were with them, contracts of your current and previous employers, statement of earnings which shows hours worked and deduction made by the employer e.g. a pay stub and Statement of Earning, Record of Wages, Record of Employment and Notice of Assessment issued by CRA. These list of documents are for individuals that have 24 months of authorized full time employment as a Live in Caregiver in the last four years.
The second way of qualifying would be to have worked a total of 3900 hours within minimum the past 22 months where maximum overtime worked is 390 hours within the last four years. If this applies to you have to include a Live in Caregiver Employer Declaration of hours worked (Form IMM5634), time sheet that shows hours worked which has to be signed by the employer, contract of your current and previous employers, Statement of Earnings, Record of Employment and Notice of Assessment issued by CRA. The difference between the two is that one of them gives you a detailed record of the hours worked from date to time.
