Posted in Work Permit Videos

If you want to work in Canada, there are a number of different ways of getting to Canada and obtaining your Work Permit. You may or may not need a Work Permit depending on your situation and where you live. Watch our video to find out the steps involved in obtaining your Work Permit for Canada and how you can be exempted from obtaining a Work Visa.

 Working in Canada

There are number of ways you can come to Canada and work. The first step is having a valid job offer with an employer in Canada. Once you have a job offer we can move to the second step and see under what category you best fit into apply for Work Permit whether it is the GATS, NAFTA or whatever it may be. Depending on your country of citizenship and nature of work your employer may have to apply for a Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) prior to offering the job.

An LMIA is a Labour Market Impact Assessment, this is an employer application for company’s who cannot fill vacant positions with qualified Canadian Citizens or Permanent Residents, and would therefore like to be able to hire skilled foreign workers on either a short term basis (LMIA for work permit) or permanently (LMIA to support PR) to satisfy their employment needs.

This application is processed by Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC), not by Immigration, Refugee & Citizenship Canada (IRCC) even though the LMIA can be used to support, and is sometimes a requirement for immigration applications such as closed work permits and Permanent Residence.

Also, depending on your country of citizenship you may or not be eligible to apply from inside of Canada. Depending on your job duties or your intended occupation your Work Permit in Canada can possibly lead to obtaining Permanent Residency. For example, you may eligible to apply for Permanent Residency under the Canadian Experience if you meet the skill level under NOC A, B or O.

If you have future intension to reside in Canada it very important your short goals can lead to future opportunities in Canada. If you have job offer in Canada and like to know future opportunities with the job offer you have then call us today.

Reception was very nice and was sure to answer the questions he could but made sure I was taken care of by a rep at the firm. Shabnam was extremely helpful and I will be calling again when I am ready to proceed.

Shabnam, I wanted to personally thank you for all your hard work and dedication to me and my wife. Our new lives together are all thanks to you. Considering the unique circumstances that initially prevented her, I had lost hope. I will make sure that if anyone I know needs immigration help, I will be sending them your way. Again, I can’t thank you enough.

Fantastic news, I entered Canada without a hitch. Once the guard at the border saw the package you had prepared for me, he took about ten minutes and handed me my permit. What I relief! I don’t know why I ever tried this without you guys! Thank you!
