Are you looking at filing a Work Permit? No matter what type of Work Permit it is, whether it be a NAFTA Work Permit or a GATS Work Permit, there are really a few sets of documents that you will have to submit to the immigration officer. In fact, there are three specific sets of documents that you will need to submit.

The first sets of documents are all corporate documents. This is the registration of the company if it’s a sole proprietorship or partnership. However, it may be registered and include documents such as a share registry to demonstrate who owns the company.

The second set of documents are documents to show that this is a currently active company. For this, you can include tax documents, financial documents, and include documents of their website. Essentially, anything to demonstrate that this company is operating would be good documents to include. The officers want to ensure that even though this is a new company, there is still activity going on within the company or there will be activity going on once the Work Permit is issued.

The third set of documents to includes information on the applicant such as their expertise, their credentials, their background, job offers, etc – these things would be good supporting documents.

These are the three main sets of documents to include; however, there could be more standards for documentation depending on your situation so ensure you have it all covered.
