Shabnam Akrami is the Managing Partner and Founder of Akrami & Associates.
Prior to receiving her Paralegal Diploma with Honours, she completed her Law Degree from the UK at the University of London as well as completed a Post Graduate Diploma.
In addition, she has also graduated from York University where she received both her Bachelor in Criminology and Masters in Socio-Legal Studies.
She is a Paralegal in good standing with Law Society of Upper Canada and Consultant with the Immigration Consultants of Canada Regulatory Council.
Prior to opening her own firm, she gained extensive experience in corporate immigration law; specializing in work permits, temporary resident permits and rehabilitation cases.
She has in depth and hands on experience in all Canadian Immigration and Citizenship matters. These matters include preparation and submission of applications for permanent residence, work permits, NAFTA applications, labour market opinions, temporary resident permits, sponsorships, and business investors.

Taaha Malik BA (Hon) J.D.

Taaha is a barrister and solicitor licensed by the Law Society of Ontario. She completed her Bachelor of Arts in Criminology and Socio-Legal Studies from the University of Toronto. After completing her Bachelors Taaha moved to New York and obtained a Juris Doctorate from New York Law School.
During law school Taaha continued to work and gain experience in different areas of law in New York. She worked in Financial Services, Commercial Business, Real Estate, Civil Litigation, Family Law and Immigration. Through the various experiences Taaha always felt more fascinated by and attracted to the field of immigration law.
Once she completed her JD, Taaha moved back to Toronto and began working in immigration law at Deloitte. While working full time she completed the requisite credentials to sit for the Ontario bar and was also selected to complete her Ontario Articling with Deloitte. Taaha was successfully called to the Bar of Ontario in June 2019.
During her tenure at Deloitte, Taaha provided Global and Canadian Immigration services to employees of major multinational companies. She acquired familiarity and knowledge of the immigration rules and regulations of various countries across the globe. She became proficient in providing wide range of Canadian permanent and temporary immigration services.
Taaha’s extensive experience in the realm of immigration law allows her to deliver excellent candid service to her clients. She understands the individual client’s needs and requirements and is always on the Clients’ side.
Taaha is fluent in Urdu, Punjabi and Hindi. Outside of law, her interests include reading – non-fiction and current affairs, travelling, community service and volunteer work and she is an avid rollerblader and hiker.

Laurete Hoxha is a Regulated Immigration Consultant with Akrami and Associates.
Laurete Hoxha obtained her Bachelor Degree in Law from "Luigj Gurakuqi" University of Shkoder, Albania in 2007. After that, she continued her education by receiving her Immigration Consultant with Honours from Humber College, Toronto.
After graduating from University of Shkoder, Laurete worked as a Legal Counsellor for the City Hall in Albania. Thereafter, as a Legal Assistant for two law firms in Brampton and Thornhill. She has gained extensive knowledge of current legal practices and terminology as well as experience of providing efficient administrative and secretarial support to lawyers and legal executives.
Laurete is a well-rounded and dedicated professional working exclusively on Canadian immigration matters with our firm. She has provided immigration solutions to corporations and businesses in various industries within the private and public sector. Laurete is highly knowledgeable in navigating through CIC processes, as well as submitting complex submissions relating to all types of Canadian immigration matters.
Laurete is committed to the department's abilities to provide effective client communications, as well as execute carefully tailored and accurate immigration solutions which meet both corporate or personal needs. Jupinder Kaur, Legal Assistant

Jupinder completed her post-secondary degree in Business Administration and in addition has also completed a Master's Degree in Business Administration both from Guru Nanak Dev University in 2013. She has successfully continued her educational studies by completing a diploma in Project Management from Humber College and is currently studying in the Immigration Consultant program also at Humber College. Jupinder has been working in the immigration field for more than 3 years.
Apart from working at Akrami and Associates, Jupinder has worked as an Immigration Legal Assistant at another law firm in Brampton, Ontario. Once Jupinder completes her Immigration Consultant diploma from Humber College, she aspires to pursue and successfully complete her Immigration Consultants of Canada Regulatory Council (ICCRC) License. Currently, Jupinder provides a wide-range of immigration services and has provided services in successful completion of legal cases. Jupinder works on legal cases such as Express Entry, Study Permits, Work Permits, Temporary Resident Visas, PNPs, Family Class Sponsorship and all other immigration related cases.

Jannette has recently completed her post-secondary degree in Political Science with Honours from McMaster University. Jannette has been working in the immigration field a little under a year. She is known for her organized work ethic, multitasking capabilities and professionalism.
Apart from working at Akrami and Associates she also works extensively with various Latin American communities within the GTA. In the past Jannette has been a member of various community service activities such food drives, feeding the homeless and newcomers programs within the Latin American community.
She looks forward to expanding her knowledge in the Canadian Immigration field and helping you and your family move to Canada!
Sean Azim, SEO, Head of IT
Sean Azim, SEO, Head of ITSEO, IT
Sean Azim is the Search Engine Optimizer and I.T. expert at Akrami & Associates. He graduated from Seneca College with a Diploma in Computer Programming. Further, he received his General Arts and Science Pre-Business Certification through Trade and Apprenticeship studies at Seneca.
Prior to working with Akrami & Associates he worked at Viva Soft which is a business software development company. Sean worked there as a Programmer for two years.
Sean is committed to the expansion of Akrami & Associates through sound marketing and online strategizing. Further, he is always looking for ways to make the online client experience a smooth one.
Kristina Archer iBA (Hon) J.D.
Kristina Archer iBA (Hon) J.D.Immigration Attorney
Kristina is a barrister, solicitor and notary, licensed by the law society of Ontario. She earned her JD in the French Common Law program at the University of Ottawa in 2016 after graduating with an International Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Glendon College, York University.
Prior to practising immigration law, Kristina practised Criminal defence, helping clients through complex criminal issues and representing them in the Ontario Court of Justice and Superior Court. This invaluable experience helps Kristina when formulating arguments and assisting clients with their immigration cases. She now joins Akrami & Associates to put her global perspective and problem-solving skills to work in helping people with their immigration needs and making their transition as smooth as possible.
Outside of work, Kristina enjoys writing, crocheting, travel, and meeting new people. She is fluent in French and English.
