Shabnam Akrami is the Managing Partner and Founder of Akrami & Associates.
Prior to receiving her Paralegal Diploma with Honours, she completed her Law Degree from the UK at the University of London as well as completed a Post Graduate Diploma.
In addition, she has also graduated from York University where she received both her Bachelor in Criminology and Masters in Socio-Legal Studies.
She is a Paralegal in good standing with Law Society of Upper Canada and Consultant with the Immigration Consultants of Canada Regulatory Council.
Prior to opening her own firm, she gained extensive experience in corporate immigration law; specializing in work permits, temporary resident permits and rehabilitation cases.
She has in depth and hands on experience in all Canadian Immigration and Citizenship matters. These matters include preparation and submission of applications for permanent residence, work permits, NAFTA applications, labour market opinions, temporary resident permits, sponsorships, and business investors.

Brian Koh is an Immigration lawyer with Akrami & Associates.
Brian is a Canadian immigration lawyer with several years of experience. He completed his undergraduate studies at McGill University, where he also completed a semester of studies abroad at the ITESM in Mexico City. Brian obtained his law degree from the University of British Columbia in 2012, and was called to the bar in 2013.
Brian's practice focuses on representing clients who are looking to study, work and migrate to Canada under economic programs, as well as businesses who are looking to hire foreign workers. He has successfully represented numerous clients in obtaining permanent residence through Express Entry, labour market impact assessments, work permits, study permits, visitor visas, temporary resident permits, permanent residence through family sponsorship, and Canadian citizenship. Brian also regularly represents refugee claimants.
Outside of his work, Brian is a volunteer lawyer at the 519 Legal Clinic, and teaches Citizenship Law at Humber College. He also delivers presentations on immigration law in Korean and Spanish at community centers for newcomers.
Brian was born in South Korea and has lived in India, Calgary, Montreal, Mexico City, Hong Kong, Vancouver, and now lives in Toronto. As a true global citizen, he fully understands the legal needs of the global migrating population and enthusiastically provides his legal services to clients of all backgrounds.
Brian speaks fluent English, Korean, and Spanish.
