Does a Candidate Need a Job Offer in Order to Immigrate to Canada Under Express Entry
Do I need a job offer to qualify under Express Entry?
You do not necessarily need a job offer to immigrate to Canada. You may be chosen to apply for Permanent Residence through the Federal or Provincial and Territorial governments. By receiving a job offer your chances of receiving Permanent Residence are much higher. When you create an Express Entry profile you must create a Job Bank account, unless you have received an offer through the Provincial and Territorial nomination.
The Canada Job Bank is an online job bank, from the Government of Canada, where anyone can find job openings form anywhere in the country. It can also show you current market trends in Canada and what career fields are in most demand of new workers.
Once on the website, you create a Job Match Account. After you complete the account then it will be validated. From there you can upload your resume and apply to any jobs you feel you qualify for. You can also sign up for job alerts. When there is a new posting, either in the field you wish you work in or a position you qualify for, you will receive an email of the new posting. This can help you to be the first to apply to jobs and higher your chances of finding something sooner. If you applied through Express Entry then you are required to register to the Canada Job Bank, if you do not already have an offer through the provincial/territorial nomination.
