Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program SINP
How do I Qualify for Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP)
Many individuals all over the world are looking for a way to move to Canada. A possible way for these individuals to do so is through one of the Provincial Nominee Programs.
The Provincial Nominee Programs offer provinces and territories within Canada the ability to nominate individuals to migrate to Canada. Specifically to Saskatchewan, the Provincial Nominee Program is known as the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP). When an individual is nominated through the program, they can then apply for permanent residency through the federal government. This program helps individuals migrate to Saskatchewan, but also helps Saskatchewan build up its province economically.
This is done so by attracting and retaining individuals who are ready to work within Saskatchewan. Saskatchewan’s economy is primarily based on agriculture and important natural resources industries such as forestry and fishing. The province selects individuals who have skills and experience targeted by the province (relating to the province’s economic needs).
Applications categories for SINP are as follows:
Saskatchewan Express Entry
- Express Entry is a very new way to Permanent Residence in Canada. The complete name of this is Express Entry to manage applications for Permanent Residence under certain economic programs. If you are a potential candidate, you can complete an Express Entry profile at any time. Through this program provinces and territories can nominate people to immigrate to Canada based on their skills, education, and work experience that will contribute to the economy of that province or territory.
International Skilled Worker Category
- Under this category, Saskatchewan will be accepting a maximum of 250 applications without a job offer each year. In order to qualify for this category, the applicant must live outside of Canada or have proof of legal status in Canada. Another requirement is that the applicant must obtain a score of at least 60 points on a 100 point assessment grid.
Saskatchewan Experience Category
- This category is broken down in to five sub-categories: existing work permit, health professionals, hospitality sector pilot project, long haul truck drivers, and students. Each one of these categories has its own specific requirements.
Entrepreneur and Farm Category
- This category is broken down into three sub-categories: entrepreneur, farm owners/operators, and young farmers. Each one of these categories has its own specific requirements and qualifications.
Through the SINP, individuals can receive their permanent residency papers much quicker than any other immigration application due to the extremely fast processing times.
This is a very appealing aspect to most individuals, and this is a great way to ensure the success of the applicant and the province. When an individual is nominated through the program, they can then apply for permanent residency through the federal government.
