Obtain a Canadian Study Permit

Planning to study in Canada? Not sure what the requirements to obtain your Canadian Study Permit? There are 5 main documents you will need to submit a successful Study Permit application for Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC). The first set of document you would need includes the acceptance letter from a designated college or university in Canada. Without the acceptance letter you are not eligible to apply for the Study Permit. So ensure you have the acceptance letter first prior to starting your application. The second set of document the immigration officer looks for is why you chose this program and why it is important to you. You can write this in your personal statement explaining the importance of this program to you. The immigration officer also looks for ample amount of supporting documents that shows your intension are temporarily in Canada and will exit once your Study Visa expires. To help you demonstrate that you would need to include documents that ties you back to your home country. These documents can include showing that you have property back home, family responsibilities, assets, perhaps a job anything that shows you will exit Canada when your visa expires. The final important document you should include with your application is showing you are able to support yourself during your time in Canada. If you are unable to support yourself then provide documents of family or friends that will support you during your time of stay. The more documents you provide the greater your chance.
