    The Canadian government has come to the conclusion that citizens from the small Caribbean nation, Antigua and Barbuda, no longer meet the criteria for a visa exemption. As a result, any current Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA)'s that have been issued will unfortunately become void and the individuals affected will no longer be able to utilize their ETA to enter Canada and must obtain a visa.     Conditional PR Provision No Longer in Effect for Spouses

    As of April 28, 2017, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) announced that the conditional permanent resident status for all spouses and partners sponsored to immigrate to Canada will no longer be in effect. As a result, spouses and partners that immigrate to Canada will automatically have full permanent resident status upon arriving in Canada.
